Hope I am doing this right, first time posting.
I parked my car in a private car park, new to me, was under the impression car park belonged to the shop, and was out of the car 15 minutes no more, since all disabled bays were taken I parked in a normal bay, I was under the impression this was allowed, disabled badge on veiw, returned to find ticket being issued, going to appeal againts charge, does anyone have any information regarding this.

Before you appeal, can you tell us who gave you this ticket ? And is it in England or Wales ?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

It was in Scotland, ticket was issued by attendant, smartparking.0

In Scotland YOU MUST IGNORE the fake PCN. There is NO APPEAL despite the info on the fake PCN. They lie.
And if you tell them who was driving then you will have given them your information on a plate. In Scotland they can only chase the driver so you do not tell them who that was of course!
Hope I have replied in time to stop you walking into their 'appeal' trap. DON'T.
And if you are wondering what letters they will send look at the sticky threads, 'PPC letter chains' (OLD LINK PRE-OCTOBER!) on that sticky thread at the top(ish) of this forum.
Before you ask:
No it doesn't affect your credit rating.
No you can't get a CCJ out of the blue
and no they can't come knocking.
All they can do is get the registered keeper's data from the DVLA and waste postage writing the usual letters to you (and you can just file them and laugh). Newbies reading this reply should be aware that the 'ignore' advice for a new fake PCN like this one ONLY APPLIES IN SCOTLAND or NI.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
