Best pay in time for the credit to reflect on your account - see your statement for suggested dates.
Any later and you could incur interest for late payment.0 -
Now, especially if the balance is accruing interest.0

Hi,
The best thing to do is set up a direct debit to collect the whole amount due. If you ring whoever supplies your card they will do this for you.
That way, the whole amount is paid and you never ever pay interest. You just set the money aside which you have done.0 -
I try to pay mine as I go along, often make several payments each month, means ive never missed or been late with a payment so never incurred interest either.
Ive been told card companies don't like it but ive never had a problem.0 -
they should be fine with that.
i always use DDs to pay my cards on a monthly basis.
just keep a clear record of when IFPs come to an end0 -
If you are paying interest then pay as soon as you can. If not then it doesn't matter - I personally hold off paying until as late as possible as I get 3% interest from money in my current account.
Just remember that it can take a couple of days for payment to clear so don't leave it until the deadline on your statement - do it 3 days before to be safe.0 -
agreed. with Amex the DD is taken several days before the due date, so paying manually would provide more credit...but not worth the hassle imo0
