Please can anyone tell us what is the difference between assisted housing and shared ownership - are they the same? silly question - sorry!!

Assisted housing to me says a place where people live with assistance e.g. with a warden and/or other care workers.0

Assisted living and shared ownership are two completely different things. If the OP could describe what they are wanting to discuss it would be helpful.I am a mortgage broker. Kingstreet - friends of ours had a plan of a new housing development and saw the initial AH.when they asked what the AH was on the plans the rep said assisted housing homes. hope that helps? and thanks0

That usually means Affordable Housing. This can either be shared ownership or social rented from a housing association. I agree with sDFW. It's affordable housing.
