Success at last with Skegness PCN

So I got a PCN in Skegness in April after my ticket blew off the dashboard after I'd gone back to the car to fetch coats (it was pretty bracing that day). I did the informal appeal, attaching a copy of my parking ticket and also a diesel receipt showing what time we left Lincoln so they'd have reassurance I'd not just asked a leaving motorist for their ticket (this could easily happen, I pass tickets on as we're leaving the carpark if people are coming in) and the appeal got turned down. I refused to let it lie even though the fine then went up to £50 as I knew in my heart I was in the right. I then sent the letter I found via here from the Pepipoo website about blown-off tickets and how penalising a motorist who was in possession of a valid ticket was in direct contravention of Department of Transport guidelines under the Road Traffic Act. Today I got a letter granting my appeal, albeit very grudgingly.

Thanks to all the fine people on this site and others who give normal women like me the confidence and the tools to appeal these unfair charges.

I feel a bit sore for those people who give up at the first appeal so they can pay the reduced fee, I am lucky that I could afford to risk £25 turning into £50....
