The only way to work out if there is a case is to make a complaint to AA.
Bear in mind that there may be issues with them not being regulated at the time with it being pre-2005.
Is that the age of your parents now, or when they took the loan out? Most policies cover up to age 65, so if the term was to exceed this and the terms and conditions state age as an exclusion, this could potentially be a mis-sale reason in addition to the single premium.Competition wins:
2010 - approx £450. 2011 - approx £800. 2012 - approx £300. 2013 - nothing so far!0 -
Hi
That was the age of them at the time they took the loan out 64 and 65.
I thought the same about insurance covers them until the age of 65. The sales person on the phone obviously didn't do their job properly and saw this an opportunity to make some commission from this sale. This was so wrong but they still succeeded.
I will put in a claim fingers cross!!!!:mad:0
