Garden fencing - is this a good quote?

Two fences:
Fence 1:
2m tantalized waney lap with slotted wooden posts and gravel boards, 7 panels
Fence 2:
2m continental style lattice top fencing with slotted wooden posts and gravel boards, 15 panels, plus matching gate.
Price quoted: £2900 (supply and fitting)
I know where they get their supplies from and can see I could buy all that is needed for £1500 myself.
So is approximately £1400 labour fair??
Thanks!

Sounds a bit steep to me, especially for waney lap panels. I charge £110 per post inc panel. I'd also think about using concrete posts instead of timber. They last longer and won't rot. If you use concrete posts it also means they have to dig a proper 2' hole. If you use timber they may dig a few inches and just trim the tops all level after.0

Steep IMHO. Based in SE London and paid about £90 a panel inc posts and gravel boards (and that was concrete). The gate will add to cost but still seems a tad high.0

Thanks for the replies.
I'm confident he'd do a good job, he was very helpful and seemed to know what he was talking about. Also the timber posts to be used are treated and guaranteed for 15yrs.
Going to get another quote to compare, but never realised how difficult it'd be getting a hold of someone locally who does the continental style fencing! We're based in Manchester.0
