Yet another TPS-ignoring bunch of criminal toe-rags, claiming to be "working for the Government". Clearly not any part of the Information Commissioners Office then as I am still TPS registered.
They never got to the part about selling Solar panels as the caller hung up when I mentioned my TPS registration. presumably this saves on the cost of the mobiles that they are using to make these illegal telephone calls:-

Just to update: I've been receiving daily calls from this "company" despite telling them that I am registered with TPS. One call was quite abusive because I asked to speak to the manager and for them to stop calling me.
The numbers they have used to date are:

The only name I have managed to glean from one of them is Daniel Du Bois!
I'm concerned that these people are relentless and they could be causing a real nuisance to the vulnerable.

I have been called on many occasions by this pseudo-organisation (Energy Care Department), despite being registered with the TPS and instructing them every time not to waste their time calling. On one occasion my request for them not to call again was responded to with the reply, in a malevolent and nasty tone of voice: 'Well I'm going to call you every day from now on, ha ha ha'. Thankfully this did not happen, but it was remarkably unnerving to get that sort of reply. Must be a very nasty outfit.

I have just been contacted by these people. I am on the TPS but did not raise this with them.

They contaced me saying they were the Energy Care Department claiming that their records showed that I was between 50 and 80 years old. Could I confirm this? So that they could best help me, they needed more information. Could I confirm my age? I asked why they needed to know. They were evasive and wouldn't say. I asked if they were a government department. The caller said that they worked with the government. He then said they worked for the government. He then said they were a government department but then back-tracked and said they weren't. By now I was very suspicious.

The person calling said that he wasn't trying to sell me anything. He just needed a little more infomation so that one of his supervisors could call me back.

I asked for a 'phone number so that I could call him back but the caller said he couldn't give one. I asked for a website and he gave me the name of the Green Energy Company. I have checked this out. The 'About Us' button give two drop-down options - Health and Safety and Testimonials. There is nothing plausiblle or credible under Testimonials. The 'Contact Us' button gives an address in Brentwood and a contact 'phone number - 01277 202918.

Unlike the other posts, there was nothing abusive in the manner of the caller. However, it is clear that the initial approach is designed to mislead people into thinking that this is a government-sponsored organisation. I'd advise anyone who is contacted by these people to thank them, say you don't need their help and to put the 'phone down.
