1. - yes get one of those radio transmitter things, unles you have a line in socket?
2. - yes to both parts, but you'll need an amp to power the speakers from the dvd player and probably won't be worth the hassle or cost (especially to get don ewell)0 -
Something like http://www.amazon.co.uk/Griffin-9631-NANOTRIP-iTrip-nano-Transmitter/dp/B000BVCTS4/ref=sr_1_3/026-5176408-4575612?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1180590100&sr=1-3 albeit you will have to make sure you search for your model of ipod. Amazon may not necessarily be the cheapest, but at least you know what kind of thing you need to get.
Personally I use Techfocus http://www.techfocus.co.uk/iTrip-FM-Transmitters.htm for bits for my Ipod Video.0 -

1 - already answered: use a FM transmitter.
2 - is it possible? Absolutely. Can you do it? Well, you tell me.
You'll need to somehow get access to the speakers, unplug them, install wires from the + and - of each speaker and plug them with RCA plugs, assuming that's what you have at the back of the DVD player. You could still do that via the SCART, but you'd probably need to hack it since I assume you use the scart to plug the screen. I assume a lot since you don't give any details whatsoever, a bit like asking "my car is broken, can I fix it". If it was me, I would even install a switch so that I can still have the stereo plugged in.
So it depends on your DVD player, your car, your tools, and last but not least your ability to use those tools.0 -
