How much is Experian monthly now?

Options
Simple question i hope.
I used to have online access at creditexpert, but then they changed the price to about 14.99 month so cancelled.
I have just looked at the website and states 14.99/month and something along the lines of £6.40 is for insurance and to check whether you already have this cover.

Can someone please tell me how much it is per month to have access to my credit report at experian? Thanks

    As you say, £14.99

    Is the below confusing you?
The insurance makes up £6.40 out of your £14.99 per month membership fee - if you decide to continue membership after your 30 Day FREE trial

They are just giving you a breakdown of the price, £6.40 is ID cover and the remainder is the access

    The answer is...too much.

ID cover...what's the point of that when you are protected from this anyway?

The Boss beat me to it. Anything above "free" is too much.

yes that is the bit that was confusing, thanks. I thought there was maybe an opt-out of the insurance. I thought it was good value at the old price of 6.99/month and then they wrote to me to say it was going from 6.99 to 14.99 and I cancelled it.
Thought, possibly naively, that they had had a change of heart and reduced the price again:)

    £14.99 per month I think.

Absolute daylight robbery. Don't pay it then in 12 months you can have a nice break away with the £180 you've saved.

Just use the statutory £2 one, once a week if you must :).

Unfortunately, experian make you wait to get the access key in the post. Pain in the !!!!. Probably trying to push the paid for service.

Equifax let you get the £2 one online, I use that.

I will just stick with noddle for the minute as has all of my credit accounts past and present, and seems to be up to date. Plus like you say I can get a £2 report once a month for a lot less money.
