My sis is coming over from New Zealand in July but has to go to Amsterdam for a Zebra Fish Convention (don't ask!!!!!!) she needs to leave from Glasgow International, Prestwick or Edinburgh on 11th July anytime of day. Return from Amsterdam on 15th July. Needs hotel/guesthouse or whatever for the duration hopefully somewhere near Amsterdam RAI Convention and Exhibition Centre where convention being held. She needs to be able to book from NZ or my dad could poss book it for her from here. Could some kind person point me in the direction of websites I can check. Any and all help greatfully received.

You could fly out of Edinburgh with Easyjet @ £38.99 and fly back to Glasgow with Transavia @ 70.00 euros, about £47.60.

Then for hotels I suggest you try:

Hi there thanks for that. Works out at just under £200 for them both which is cheaper by far than anything I can find. I am sure she will be delighted. The victims we know so well

For hotels, I'd recommend doing a search on venere.com - really helpful website with lots of good maps/reviews, and reasonable prices too (which you also don't have to pay in advance)
Plus for 4% off, use code: BK5HX8W
I think it's a good idea to check out this website even if you find hotels cheaper elsewhere, as the descriptions and maps are generally better than other sites in my opinion.
Hope that helps0 -
For hotels a site called hotels.nl is very good. You could also try Priceline for hotels near the RAI - you can get good deals on 'Name your own price' for the Amsterdam South area where the RAI is situated. There are some good threads on this board about using Priceline.0
