    I've been Money Tipped!
Personally i have used weed killer but i keep my grandchildren away from the area for a couple of days until it has rained.

As mentioned, people seem to want instant results these days with weed killers. It is important to follow the dilution instructions very carefully because if the weed killer is made too strong it will quickly burn off and kill the top growth of the weeds before the weed has had time to take the poison down to its roots. The result is the weeds will just grow again....,

actually, yes, you are daft to even contemplate that weed-killer is safe to use with kids around. Get real! Do you want to experiment with your kids health with WEEDKILLER ? Just buy a trowel and dig the blighters up! ( the weeds, not the kids)

It's not daft. Most weed killers say its safe for kids to be around it when it's dried.

In a culture where we have to be warned when coffee is hot, do you not think that the companies that make these weed killers would be 100% sure on this matter. I don't think any one of them would want a child death or illness held against them.

So, should we take this a step further and not experiment with our kids' safety by keeping them out of our cars? After all, they can walk.

While hundreds of children are killed or injured in cars every year, I cannot remember the last time I heard of a child suffering by coming into contact with dilute weedkiller.

Is that getting real enough for you? ;)
