Just returned from France, Diesel was €1.30 a litre.

Presumably so the supermarkets can advertsie they have reduced the price again ;)

Asda and Sainsburys have so far declared price drops ... expect the other supermarkets to follow suit.

I think in inflationary terms petrol prices are pretty static. It's been around 1.32 for quite some time, I reember it went up to 1.40 per litre for petrol a while back last year.

I think the 70p period you're talking about was probably around £1.40 in todays money.

I'm not an old a dog as you, but I remember when prices broke £1, and it was a huge milestone and a big deal at the time. But then again £1 was worth more then. These days chocolate bar at the corner shop costs 65p. A 500ml bottle of coke costs £1.10.

Thinking about it, coke costs more by volume than petrol!
Whats the inflationary term for when it was 4 UK Gallons for a £1 then....smiley-laughing021.gif

Edit: mind you at the time I think I was being paid around £6.00 a week before tax etc. smiley-laughing021.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
