My kitchen update, so far not so good....

Hello

I had my kitchen delivered last week, it turned up on the agreed delivery date and everything was here.

When the technical surveyor came out to do the final plan and measurement, he walked me through everything and even got out his tape measure to show me how things would be arranged and to give me a sense of things. I thought great am gonna have the kitchen I want. During the final plan and measurement, the kitchen surveyor had some questions and we even phoned the builder who went through things with the kitchen surveyor.

My builder has begun fitting the kitchen as in the plan and it is not at all as I wanted or as I was shown! Lots of dead cupboard space, one cupboard I would need a ladder and a long grabber to use it. I actually have less storage than in my old kitchen! My builder has said to get the supply company back out to see their plan in reality because he's stunned and concerned that they could send me something like this as it is quite impractical.

Anyone got any ideas/advice ?

Thanks

did the surveyor not give you a detailed layout drawing ? , which would have shown you the exact size and position of every unit before they actually went into production.(you should have received a copy)

Sorry ,have just re-read your post ,the kitchen supplied is not the same as the one ordered

you could try going through the kitchen specialist association ( if they are a member)
