Vacuum Cleaner - have ~£120 to spend

Options
Hi there

I am a useless man looking to get a new vacuum cleaner.

A 3rd party is paying for it, as they broke my old one! I have in the region of £120 to spend and so would like to get the best possible in that price range, would also like to benefit from loyalty points (clubcard/nectar/advantage card etc).

My last vacuum cleaner was a Panasonic and I am supposed to replace on a 'like for like' basis, so preferably a Panasonic, but if their vacuum's are rubbish I'll get a different type!

Thanks!

We bought a Panasonic bagless vacuum a couple of years ago, based on a trip round Comet, Currys and the like, the two main features were how light it is, and how simple it is. There is a similar one (same thing, few design changes)here - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-MC-E4111-Lightweight-Vacuum-Cleaner/dp/B000GBAMLU/ref=acc_glance__ai_1_title/026-9260972-4069231

If ours was to be replaced I would have no hesitation in getting another.

The machine is much quieter than we expected and easy to use, based on comparison with friends and family, who have bought different ones for their own reasons.

Wrong name, wrong location but are you my DH? He has to buy me one for about that price tomorrow because he ruined mine by hoovering the lawn!! The builders had spilt cement and he didn't want it to 'scorch' the grass. Some was dust but most had dried into small pebbles. Now it screeches and smells of burning rubber before cutting out. He says it would be OK if I washed it:mad:
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me
