When were your issues with Setanta, out of interest...0

Hey everyone,
Well I just purchased an item a few weeks ago and stumbled upon this review.
You might have "stumbled upon" a review in an old newspaper or magazine, but how do you just stumble upon an internet review that was last updated 9 months ago and was burried deep in the old posts on page 78 of this forum?0 -
Haha... looks like they got rumbled. And the fact the page has now been active only means its more likely to get found on Google.
Anyway - I'm going through the same poor "customer service" with a product completely not as described but they won't even answer my question if they can replace it with something more similar and looks like they are going to charge me a delivery charge for something that doesn't even look like the image on their website. Bunch of jokers. Don't buy off them.0 -
Hey everyone,
Well I just purchased an item a few weeks ago and stumbled upon this review.
I had to send an item back but I didn't have issues like you did (bless ya).
The girl was all in all quite friendly and dealt with my returns swiftly.
See the thing is that I myself sell beads and bracelets so any items that are from abroad have to be returned to the original supplier.
I myself have to put on my site that the customer may have to pay
'X amount' towards the postage. I don't have a warehouse so I order it from abroad, and then sell it. But if someone wants a refund, I have to also post it back which costs money.
And believe me- when companies (such as myself) receive orders they double/ triple check to make sure its the right item. The last thing business owners want it items that have to be shipped back.
But anyway, as a customer I had no issues and I would def buy from them. No problem at all
Well thanks to this page I'm definitely not buying from them!!
I am looking for a mens briefcase, incredibly hard to find and am open to any suggestions.
Company check http://companycheck.co.uk/company/07465618 gives registered address as 173 Mill Road,Cambridge,CB1 3AN which looks like some 2nd rate accountant http://goo.gl/95Adfx . The directors, from http://companycheck.co.uk/company/07465618/S-BUCKINGHAMS-LIMITED/directors-secretaries, are a couple of young guys 26 and 30, same last name, maybe brothers. Looking one Duedil, one seems to be based in UK other in India.
Anyway looks like there is a web trying to hide legitimacy. So would be best to avoid. I'm not buying!

I am having trouble getting a refund for a bag which they have received which I posted back to them at the beginning of this year (Jan 2015) - but also a document holder which they say has not been received. How can I get my money back?
And how should other people be warned about this shoddy company I wonder?0 -
Call up your credit card company and ask them to process a chargeback b0

keeping this short. We ordered a bag with a promise of 3 days delivery. The bag did not arrive after almost two weeks and after many phone calls to an automated system that asks you to leave a message and gets you do little else and numerous emails with no reply I finally got through to a guy called Chris that seemed to care very little about my complaints. He advised us that the bag had been lost in delivery and that they were aware of this even though they had never advised us of this. I asked for a refund and he said he would "try" to do it today. Two days later, nothing. No bag, no emails, no refund. As lovely as the site looks I am convinced that this is a one man band selling expensive items they carry no stock of from a bedroom in London. Don't buy from here if you are looking for a bag of this quality I highly advise you buy from somewhere else. Also they seem to have another site called Reid and Hamilton so beware. Simply Google 0844 884 5108 in quotes and you can see multiple sites running on the same phone number which once again suggests a small outlet trying to look big. Please avoid for your own sake.0

I too have had trouble with this company.
I bought an attache case as a present back in late April. When I gave it to the recipient on 02 May, we discovered that the case could be opened whilst supposedly locked - clearly not fit for purpose. I contacted the company who took an age (and much badgering) to reply to each of my messages.
I offered to send photos after describing the problem, but they told me to just send it back, which I did.
I then had to chase them up further ("has it arrived?", "can you please chase this up" type emails, many of which received no reply) and they finally declared that there was no fault with the case.
I argued that, a locking case that opens when supposedly locked is hardly fit for purpose, so they reluctantly agreed to refund me.
2.5 months later I was still chasing them for a refund. I finally received my refund ( 3.5 months after the case arrived back with them), but they have refused to refund me the cost of the return postage (which, as I understand it, they are required to do, having sold me a faulty / not fit for purpose product).
I had to resort to posting on their Facebook page (which I hate doing as it's like airing dirty laundry in public) and they have replied to my email, again stating they refunded me in full. They refunded me my original payment, but I am still chasing the return postage charge.
I am not hopeful!
All in all, I have had a rubbish experience with them! A rubbish quality product that doesn't do what it is designed to do, chasing emails at every turn (the number of "can someone please get back to me?"-type emails I have had to send is staggering), each reply I received was a one-sentence reply showing no knowledge of the previous problems, my requests etc (forcing me to have to repeat the whole saga each time), and yet they have insisted twice that "this is not representative of the experience that we endeavor to provide our customers with".
I have seen nothing but incompetence and I am sick and tired of chasing it.
Some birthday present, eh?0
