Does depend a bit on the system - we have the kitchen caddy and outside bin system - we never put a bag in the outside one as the kitchen bin has the small liners in so whatever is put outside is already sealed. That of course assumes you use the potato starch plastic ones - if you use paper etc then it will seep through. One cheap option is to buy your fruit and veg in a local greengrocer that still uses brown paper bags!

If you want the caddy liners they are around 3p each here - http://www.bathnes.getcomposting.com/Shop/Composting_Accessories/CBAGSMLX3_Caddy_Liners_Small_x_3_Rolls.html

They work out at 11p each, can't get the 3 for 2 to work & p&p is expensive.
    £26.49 ÷ 234 is 11.3p each.
    They are less in wilkinsons.

Just to say, I am about to start delivering the 7L caddy bags again for the next 7 weeks so have access to plenty of them :)
  • Hi guys thanks for all your replies. I forgot to say that although provided I don't use my small caddy bin as I only have a small kitchen which is why I use the large one (kept outside the back door) so the small bags are no use to me, which is a nuisance as the council will provide bags for these ones.
