plumbing advice required.

Hi,

looking at new bathroom suite and also installing a shower. (over bath not cubicle)

current set up is

hot water = combi boiler
cold water tank in loft feeding bathroom
downstairs cold water on mains

understand this was just laziness when the combi was installed and the tank should have been disconnected then and bathroom fed by mains???

so whats best options going forward???

if get the tank disconnected and bathroom set up to the mains would this give us more/better options ???

would it be hard/costly to do ??

its hard enough trying to work out what type of shower to get let alone the plumbing :( lol

any advice welcomed

thanks

connect the cold main in the loft to the cold supply from the roof tank which will disconnect the roof tank & give you cold mains to the bathroom, then you need a thermostatic shower valve
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

What is the water pressure like at the main tap? If it is low, there may still be a benefit in keeping the tank in the loft.
