Equifax and experian why is credit rating so different

And yet, when my score is high and the eligibility checker gives me a between 70-90% likelyhood of acceptance, I've been accepted. Likewise when the tables were turned not so long ago I was rejected.
Anyway, no point debating it, I've found it helpful as an indicator of my credit worthiness and so far it's been pretty accurate.
I understand it leaves out vital info, but as a basic tool I don't think it's completely worthless.0
