I was browsing for apartment prices in Turkey earlier today, and I came across a good deal for August, for 2 adults, one child, 2 bed apartment, on hotels4u.

However, when I had a look at the booking information, it said something along the lines of "these rates are not applicable to Turkish passport holders".

Any idea why not? We are a family of 3, 2 adults, one child. My DD and I are British passport holders, my OH is not (he is Turkish but has been living in the UK on his settlement visa for 10 years). Clearly we wouldn't be able to book these apartments with this booking agent, I was just curious what the reason would be?

Maybe they don't like Turks, just a thought, I like them -mostly.

I don't know, I haven't got as far as contacting the hotel direct yet to find out their direct price.

I was just wondering why one room-booking agent like hotels4u would have such a stipulation, when I've just had a look at travelrepublic for the same apartments and same dates etc, and they don't have any such stipulation?

As I said, just curious really.
