Halifax PPI

Has anyone had any experience of Halifax calling you for more information regarding your PPI complaint? I had a call yesterday and they wanted to know for the loan we had for a car, did we plan to get a car and did we keep the car or sell it? I didn't think this was relevant to the complaint - is it?

Timescale is an issue of consideration in looking at complaints. As can be the amount of savings you have. Financial need comes into it significantly as well.
The phone call asking questions to find things out is allowed. If you dont think something is relevant than say so. They can explain it and if you still disagree, they can then record you as refused to answer which could go against you.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

I'd say you should fully assist with any enquiries the Bank makes with regard your complaint. Regardless of whether you feel the questions are "irrelevant", you don't want to do anything that might lead to the Bank rejecting you.I'm happy to answer any questions just didn't think that this question is relevant to the ppi complaint really0 -
Yes I will fully assist with all enquiries as I don't want the Bank to reject my claim. You just feel like your being tested on all the questions in your application and they are trying to catch you out on something, but I have nothing to hide and all the answers are true to what happened. Fingers crossed something will come through0
