matt undercoat, silk top coat

Options
Hi,

I've just had my bedroom plastered and used watered down wickes own brand matt emulsion for the undercoat.

I have bought Dulux silk and intend to use that for 2 top coats.

My question is, is it ok to mix matt and silk?. They are both water based so i'm hoping it won't be a problem.

If you are covering the matt with silk, no problem, but you say mixing, I wouldn't mix the two paints together. Hope this helps.

Just be very careful painting. Not because of an issue with using the two types, but because it's very easy to miss going over small patches and they will become glaringly obvious when the paint dries. I learnt this the hard way!
