What happens if Fixtures list items are missing

What happens if, when you have completed your purchase of the property, get the keys and get through the door to find you have considerably less items in the property than were listed as "Included" on your fixtures list?

Tell your solicitor. They should contact vendor's solicitor.

Depends upon the value, usually not worth the hassle.

That happened to my daughter , all the light fittings were gone, and one over a very high staircase landing was just left with a bare wire! Also removed , leaving holes in the plaster , was alcove shelving. We told the solicitor and an email to the other solicitor was sent, but nothing came of it and she was told it wasnt worth the hassle to pursue it as the vendor had gone abroad in this case. Leaves a really nasty taste in the mouth.
