Hi Everyone looking for a bit of advice please.
I had a secured loan with first plus that had front loaded PPI. The loan was taken out in 2002 and paid off 2 years later. I am confident I was mis-sold PPI but thought that my claim would be time barred. However, after reading on the forum and various other places I realised it may not be.
Wrote to First plus with all the info I had (the account number) and received a response today. They say that the PPI was sold to me by Freedom Finance Ltd and since they have ceased trading there is nothing they can do. they have also indicated that because of the time lapse I have no recourse to the FSC.
Is this correct, does my claim end here?
I don't know why Freedom Finance are involved in this as my loan and all my dealings were with first plus. Your advice will be gratefully received!

You have to complain to whoever sold you the loan, not who you were paying for the loan or the PPI since you are saying there's something wrong with the sales process.
They are correct that your complaint is over and you have no recourse to the FSCS or to the FOS.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
