    Generally the longer you've had a credit card the better. Closing an account so soon means there is little account data held for it and it may suggest similar behaviour with other accounts in future.

    Hmm, thats something I didn't think of. Perhaps I should keep the new one for a minimum of 12 months before closing it.
    It seems a daft way of getting this negative removed though.
    The only other thing I can think of is a loan and then just repay it after a couple of months.

    I cant think of anything else.
