Fluid credit card application

Went through the process of the soft search with fluid (Mbna). It said that I would not be offered the 24 month deal on balance transfer but would be suitable for the 18 month deal at 0 percent. I carried on with the application and then it now says they need 7 to 10 days to review applications and will be in contact with me. From experience of anyone on this site.....is this a polite way of saying no your not suitable etc.....

Pretty sure fluid soft search would've checked Call Credit first on the Soft and then when you applied they would hit a hard search on Experian.

Its polite way of saying we have to do further checks as we cannot give an immediate decision and that's it.

I applied today. It initially rejected me on the soft search

I pressed the browser back button and popped the exact same details in with one exception. I ticked I'd likely want a balance transfer

Accepted this time with generous limit

Seems more likely a commercial decision rather than a risk one
