Agreeing repair costs to shared property

Hello. I would really appreciate some guidance on the below.

I have recently purchased a house with a shared chimney. The chimney has been deemed 'dangerous' by three builders. We have photos of it and there is really not a lot holding it up and thus we need to get it repaired ASAP.

The property that the chimney is shared with is rented. The tenants there have given us contact details for their rental agency with whom we have shared the information, quotes and photos with. According to the agency they have still not been able to get a response from the landlady:mad:. This has been going on for three weeks. And we have had no communication from them at all, not even acknowledgement that they have received the info. They cannot share contact details with the landlady due to data protection.

My questions are -
Is there another way to find contact details for the owner so that we can contact them directly?
It seems that the owner will be difficult (indicated by the length of time without a response.) Is there anything we can so to try to get them to split the cost of repair with us (£500 each.)

Thanks v much!

Do the title deeds state who is reponsible for repair?
The chimney has been deemed 'dangerous' by three builders.
Did the survey pick anything up?
Builders can quote for work that doesnt need doing.

The Land Registry will tell you who owns the property, a £4 fee I believe.
If they are legally required to share repair costs on the chimney, get it done and send them a bill, if they dont pay, send them a Letter Before Action, then a court summons.
