what next - lloyds?

I sent Lloyds credit card a letter on 21/5 asking for copy of original loan agreement , details of insurance added etc I opened the account in 2004,I have the a/c number but am not 100% sure when I closed it.

I got a reply back today saying " Thanks for the request for information on the above numbered account. At the moment we are not able to provide a copy of the original signed agreement. However if you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact us"

So , what should I do now? just fill in the ombusman form and send it in?

You cannot request agreements for closed accounts, but you don't need the agreement in order to complain.
What you need are the account numbers and valid mis-selling complaint reasons. Did you have PPI on this account?

Yes, we did have PPI on it, my husband took the card to consolidate his debts, , we could possibly claim under the pre existing medical condition and having a good redundancy package.
I thought the reason to write for the original agreement was to find out for sure whether you bought it online / via leaflet etc?

So, should I just go ahead and fill the ombusman form in then?

sometimes it won't help you anyway, because they could have sod it by phone at later date.

Hi u should approach lloyds themselves. I did this with no statements or knowledge that i had it. I got the ppi address for lloyds on this website. I wasnt aware i had it and gave as much info i could regarding a loan and credit card and explained y i believe i was missold it. They have 8 weeks to investigate and get back to u. Then for any reason u r unhappy with the desision they have made take it to the ombudsman x
