Ok. App submitted on 28th May and valuation requested 28th June.
Letter received from Leeds advising they are liaising with our broker to finalise details before issuing the mortgage offer. This was dated Saturday. I assume this letter is just a delay letter just advising us, they haven't forgotten about us.Debt free as of 7.20am on 31st December 2012.
Wow. Feels great :j :beer:0 -
Oh man, that takes forever. My FA emailed today and said he thinks it will be about 3-4 weeks from application to mortgage offer. I don't think I am going to sleep until the end of July. I am buying in London.
Thanks for the update.0 -
Like I said the other day, my last Leeds case was application to offer in 14 days and for 7 of them they hadn't actually looked at the case.
If you give everything Leeds will need to your broker, your broker uploads it all to them when he applies, the mortgage is then only subject to valuation.
Here's the list. Compare it to what your broker has requested from you;-

Yes, I submitted everything and even more than that (more payslips, two proof of address). I have now asked our HR department to issue a work reference addressed to Leeds to confirm employment. So, I am going to send this over as well, maybe it is going to speed everything up. I believe my application has not yet been submitted. I only got instructed to pay the broker yesterday and signed a few docs. Plus there will be information in the application needed only I can know. So, I am sure he will get back to me.
He has been very responsive so far and I feel I am in good hands.
Just so nervous, especially since I am in a fixed contract which will end in about two months time and which I do not want to renew.0 -
If the lender requires a reference, they will wish to write to your employer for it directly. Most do not accept letters produced by employees for security/fraud reasons.I am a mortgage broker. OK Thank you. Would the lender, or in this case Leeds, usually check employment references or only in certain cases, e.g. where anything is unclear/suspicious ?0
