Leeds Building Society

Does anyone know how long Leeds are taking to instruct valuations at present?

Thanks

It could depend on where in the country you are. There was a headline on an advisors website saying that there was a delay in certain areas of the country (it may not have been specifically leeds b/s). Usually it gets instructed within 24 hours, its the being carried out that could take the time.

They took a couple of weeks for ours, nervous time indeed!

Leeds are working painfully slowly (not unusual) at the moment, their claimed current service standards (mortgage processing) are:

Starts 4 to 6 working day(s) after receipt of minimum required documentation not including the day of receipt of the final item of post

.... you can reckon on a couple of days for actual review and then any questions before its passed to payments who seem take 24 hours and then its passed for instruction (at which point the factors mentioned by ACG come into play - round our part of the world its current 2 to 3 weeks to attend). I think he means 'county' not 'country'.

In short instructed in 2 weeks - and a further week to two weeks to conduct would be my best guess.

    Thanks SPM.

Who do you mean by payments?

So from submission to valuation we should reckon on about 4 weeks??

The fee was taken approx 2 days after submission.

Just wondering whether we should bother chasing it up yet.

  • We submitted our application to Leeds on Friday and have had the call to say they have instructed a valuer today. Our financial advisor is hoping for an offer letter by the end of next week...

    Hi ZA,

I wouldn't hold much hope of that at all. 10 working days from submission to offer. i would say your advisor is being very optimistic, as once the valuation is back it will take them 4 working days to look at it. I would add on another 10 working days to that.

I would say, based on experience, no chance.

    Good luck though
