Barclaycard Initial

Hi all

Just a quick post about Barclaycard initial. I was made bankrupt in 2007, and have struggled to rebuild my credit ever since, having lost my job not long after this and falling into debt again just 12 months after declaring myself bankrupt, my credit score has been pretty unhealthy for some time, however after receiving the MSE email yesterday which mentioned this card, I wanted to let you guys know that I was accepted for this. I needed a credit card for a holiday (and also, for any big purchases as you just don't get the protection with a debit card) and had applied for various "poor credit" cards, being immediately declined by all of them. Really pleased that I now have been given the opportunity to rebuild my credit :) Happy day :):j

That's great, keep it up and try to stay out of debt with it! Pay it off in full every month and you'll be on your way to a better credit history in no time at all.

I have struggled for the last 7 years to get credit, my credit history is clean as I did a check yet no one wanted to help me. In April me and my mum in law went into business together, upon doing this within weeks I had several credit cards applications come through. I thought id stick with Barclays as I have 3 accounts with them and was 2 days ago sent through my new initial card. U cant understand I have chuffed I am as me and my husband plan to move house in 2-3 years and with no credit it would be a nitemare due to the mortgage only being in his name. Im very careful with money so I know I wont get in to any bother with it, and also my hubby got me a capital one card on his account 12 months ago and I rarely use it but pay it off every month if I do :)
