Fence panel question

Hi, I hope I'm posting in the right section. We're responsible for the fence between us & neighbours - all of which is in good condition. Neighbours appear to be digging out a previous raised area which would in effect make 2 of our fence panels too short by about 3ft. The fence has to remain at current height as our garden is raised at the back. So my question is if they change the level of their garden, do we have to replace the panels/fix it?
Thanks
Thanks

Maybe they intend to put in new panels , why don't you just ask them? I wouldn't think its your responsibility but if it leaves your garden exposed then I would think you would want some sort of extra panel to fill the gap which they or may not be bothered about. I'd just ask their intention and take if from there.#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

Hi thanks for the reply - there couldn't be a 3ft gap as there would be a landslide from my garden to theirs if it rained! I will be asking them, I'm not sure it's something that has been considered though it would be helpful if I know where I stand before asking0
