    any way i make my own sweets to

    i take a mix of things like
    brazil nuts
    cherries
    strawberries
    rasberries
    small segments of orange
    apple chunks
    anything really that can be classed or chopped up into finger food

    then i melt choclate dont use cooking choclate but you also dont need to buy the expencive blocks i find tesco's own nice melt the choc an start dipping in the nuts/fruit

    with some of the chocolate though i mix in some coconut or bashed up digestive's/shortcake/malteasers or just bashed up nuts
    an then dip some of the bits in the choc with the mix
    with the coconut either melt some shops own bounty type things or but desicrated coconut
    you dont have to buy all the expencive brands to make them yummy

    oh you can also get some tiny cake buns in silver/gold/red from the supper market the chock look nice in these

    Ok, went shoping for ingredients, and have decided to go for marzipan covered in milk, dark and white chcoclate. and to make some normal and choclate fudge. this way if the fudge goes hideusly wrong, i can just do more marzipan ( i didnt want to over face myself with anything too thecnical as ....wait for it................. i've decided to attempt a cake aswell. i biught all the ingreditens for a sponge and some of that ready do icing stuff... and some of that icing u can write with....... i can render a wall i reckon cake icing is the smae but horizontal not vertical..... i shall let u gusy know the outcome

    You can render a wall - heck - I'm sure you'll be able to ice a cake, and dip marzipan:rotfl: :rotfl:

    :rolleyes: as said before I think you're fab for giving it a go - it really *is* the thought that counts, but if it tastes good too, well that's a bonus!

    Thats a really sweet idea.

    I would love it if somone made chocs for me too.
    But have you thought about the kind of chocs that she likes?:confused: It's just that as lovely the thought is, there is no point in making chocs that she doesn't like so best to check if she likes marzipan or truffles etc.:D
  • Flybynight - For future reference make her some chocolate hearts which is very simple to do. Melt down some chocolate and spread on a marble surface. Before it sets use a heart shaped cookie cutter and cut out the hearts then place them in the refridgerator to set hard. Always a winner :-)
