    Morning everyone

Not posted for a couple of days as DH has been poorly, we are hoping the problem he has had since Jan has finally done a bunk and cleared off but I'm not saying it too loudly in case fate steps in and kicks it right back at him!!

LW - Happy Summer Solstice for tomorrow, are you and DH celebrating in any way

Weather - fresh here with rain forecast for later - need the water buts filling up so hopefully that will happen and then it will stop

Plans for today - seriously need to do some housework, haven't hoovered as DH couldn't handle the noise but I'll have to do it today

Hugs, sticks, spoons and cake on the side - help yourselves :]]

    Have a good day everyone

Redruby well done to your daughter. :j

nmlc have a lovely time. We're away tomorrow night too.

Butterfly Brain I hope it all works out for your daughter. Who is it she works for?

Halight if you don't get the answers today then contact the PALS department. They will sort it out for you.

Sorry if I missed any news.

I gutted my garden yesterday! Lawns mowed, beds cleared, weird patio type thing in corner of my garden removed. I've got someone collecting the slabs later. I've thrown some grass seed down in the hope that it will take, otherwise I'll have to buy turf:(

I bought a new prefilled hanging basket and some seed mix . I have spread some of this over my now empty bed so hopefully it should look good in a while. I absolutely hate gardening so this is as much as I can gain the enthusiasm for!

    Morning TTFTM and all,

Day 2 of me in my sick bed. I cant even keep water down which is a pain as I feel dry and dehydrated. If it goes on any longer than today I will be seeking medical advice.

Ive managed to clean the kitchen floor and empty the bin which was overflowing. Ive washed up too as theres no clean cups in the house. I'm going to get 'Youngest' to vacuum the main areas in the house where the dogs have been and i'll save the rest of my energy for cooking the tea. We cant starve two days in a row. As long as I keep washing my hands and wear a mask :D I shouldn't contaminate anyone..... I'll probably scare anyone who comes to the door though.:rotfl:

Apart from that, everything is running smoothly though I could do with a hug.

Halight, I hope you get the answers you need from the consultant today. Thinking of you.

Hester are you still walking to work?

NAR if your reading.... your absence had been noted.

Have a good day all. Im off back to bed.:(

Judi - stay in bed and let them fend for themselves!!
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning

Halight, how annoying for you. I do hope that you get to speak with someone shortly about your concerns.

Helen, I do hope that your dh is now fully on the mend.

Butterfly brain, so sorry to hear about your dd. Goodness, I would not be able to work anywhere without a loo, just knowing that there wasn't one on site would make me want to go :o

Redruby, how wonderful for your daughter. How exciting to have uni to look forward to.

    nmlc, enjoy your break.

    Hugs to everyone.

Glad that it is cooler today, it was too hot for me yesterday. Think my being middle aged doesn't help :rotfl:

Was up early and have put the bm and dw on. Need to put the wm on too and hopefully get to put out on the line if it remains dry.

Main job for today is to menu plan using up stock I already have in, and looking for inspiration for the cheapest, healthiest meals I can find.

Hope you all have a nice day.

    Afternoon all,

Halight - sorry the hospital weren't any more help than your GP, I know how frustrating that can be!

Feeling much more myself today which is good, cracking on with a few more bits of my own stuff at work now the manager who left me a lot of hers is back from annual leave - I'm far too behind to find it enjoyable like I usually would though.

BF is back from his GB training camp tonight for 5 nights before he jets off to another and a tournament in Poland. He's promised to take me on a nice date on Saturday so that should be fun :)

Other than all that I am busy planning lots of food related things; we have a tiny freezer whilst my parents have a huge chest freezer so I will be 'renting' freezer space off them and will fill it with lots of homemade goodies - cakes, scones, empanadas/pasties, sausage rolls etc whenever I am there in exchange for me making some for them too :) Then when I visit I will just grab a couple of boxes to take home for my weeks lunches :)

Hope everyone is enjoying their day now its slightly cooler!

    Afternoon all,

Halight how frustrating hope you get sorted today.

I've managed a walk around the block this morning. Only about 12 minutes slowly but I did it. Slow and a bit sore but very manageable. I'm hoping to build up from there. My MIL also has an exercise bike she doesn't use so am going to borrow that and do a few minutes each evening. I always feel better when I exercise and if I can combine it with healthy eating my weight will start coming down again.
Need a few bits of food shopping this afternoon and have several light bulbs gone so need to pick some up. Also my blooming kettle has died, currently using a pan to boile water, so need to pick a cheap one up.
Dh and I are hoping to sit down on our own later and have a good talk about the future. We both are a bit down about jobs at the moment and really need to have a clear plan. We are at that age where almost all the kids of gone, youngest off to Uni next year and if we are going to make a big change now is the time. It's exciting but scary. Fingers crossed we can decide on something positive.
Anyway need some lunch, and might read a couple of chapters of my book, The Patchwork Marriage by Jane Green, I'm really enjoying it.
    Have a good day all J x

Judi - sorry for neglecting you. Didn't think you would end up in your sick bed pining for me! ;) BIG HUGS just for you.

Halight - typical consultant/hospital appt fiasco, hope you get positive news soon.

Julie - glad you are on the mend. Exciting times ahead for you and DH! Hope you agree something positive, look forward to hearing more.

New carpet looks good. Will be spending this evening getting the wardrobe, sets of drawers, computer table etc back into the room. I think the next few days will be decluttering what isn't going back into that room. :j

    Have a nice day everyone.
