Barclaycard Platinum balance transfer card

Applied for and thought I received a good balance transfer card: Barclaycard Platinum.
I received the card to today and after activating it I transferred the balance from two Capital One cards thinking I was getting the 18.9% APR. Checking the online statement this afternoon, it appear I'm paying 29.9%. It's still an improvement to the 34.9% I was paying with Capital One but feeling a bit misled now. Also needed to may 3.9% on each of the transfers. Did I miss something? This is the first time I am doing a balance transfer.

Firstly, 18.9% is a representative rate that only about 50% of new customers get depending on their credit rating.
Secondly, why is 18.9% good? There are cards with 0% for many months and there are cards with really low life of balance rate for transfers.

Ugh! I see it now. Definitely more research was needed.
I guess 29.9% is an improvement to 34.9%.0 -
Have you got 0% for 27 months?0

As above - surely you took the card that has a representative APR of 18.9%, but gives 0% on balance transfers? If not, you could be out of pocket as the fee you'll have paid on the transfer probably cancels out the saving on the monthly interest rate.
If you're on 0%, then you're on a good thing.0
