I am currently on maternity leave and receiving maternity allowance, I ceased being self employed in January when I gave up work to have my second child, I have 2 children one at three and 1 at 5 months, I live with my partner in our mortgaged home. I would like to return to work on a part time employed basis (preferable 16hrs) and would like to know what benefits I would be entitled to if I did return and who to speak to about them, I'm at a complete loss please help!!!
Thanks

It all depends what your partner earns.
Try entitledto.co.ukTrying to be a man is a waste of a woman0 -
it all depends on household income and childcare costs0

With me not working the household income is around 17000 per year, we have no child care costs0

Potentially you have entitlement to CB, CTC and WTC (possibly HB and CTS), total income and capital may impact entitlement as others have said. Try out the calculator at www.entitledto.com so you can see how things would be now and then if you attain work at 16 hours and MA ends.0

Who do I ring to discuss which benefits I'm entitled to?0

You can contact the tax credits office and ask them for an application form, but they won't be able to tell you over the phone how much you will be entitled to. They need the details of household income, number of children, childcare costs to work it out.
Depending on household income, you may be entitled to Working Tax Credit, help with childcare costs, Child Tax Credit.
You might also be entitled to some help with housing costs. Contact your local council for an application form.
You can put in your details on this benefit calculator to get an idea of what you will get. http://www.turn2us.org.uk/benefits_search.aspx
You can try out various scenarios to work out what is best.0
