No PPI

I took out a loan in 2006 and refused point blank to take out a PPI policy because I work in the NHS.
However, I still have the offer letter which points out how important PPI was.
Unfortunately, because I refused the PPI, I was given the loan but at 2% higher interest rate than I had applied for.
Where do I stand? Can I claim back the additional interest I had to pay?
Any suggestions welcome!
Thanks!

You can't possibly complain you paid a higher rate of interest simply because you refused PPI. You chose to agree to this rate without any compulsion.
You don't have a valid complaint, but on the positive side you don't have mis-sold PPI.0 -

Exactly where you should do.Can I claim back the additional interest I had to pay
No. Firms are allowed to cross subsidise packages and deals with other products. You choose not to have it. You got the rate that applies for that.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
