Hi guys, I really don't hope this sounds lazy, it's just that I'm in the middle of A level exams and really quite stressed.
Anyway, something has come up and I need to sell all my Banco Santander (code BNC) shares as soon as possible. Today if possible! I have five hundred shares and simply want to sell them. I'm not bothered about waiting for them to increase in price a bit, or other trading. The trouble is I don't really know what I'm doing. I know that probably sounds stupid, but I was given the shares when I turned 18, I was leaving them to grow, but an emergency has come up and I don't really have time to mess around.
Can somebody please help point me in the right direction? Basically I want to create and account with a reliable, cheap online stock broker, and have them sell my shares as soon as possible.
I would really appreciate any help given and other comments/suggestions!
*edit: I've just had a look at Shareview.co.uk. It looks pretty simple to use. Would this be a good site to go for?

I'm guessing that as Santander took over Abbey there are no fees for selling these shares, is that why you suggested this link? I wonder, are they windfall shares?0 -
Yes, that's why I suggested the Abbey service - it allows a one-off transaction without opening a sharedealing account - important since the OP wanted to sell the shares ASAP. No idea whether/what they charge.0

It cost £35, and only took about 10mins to sort! Brilliant service.0
