Van advice for cross continental move

MK5 Transit all the way. Easily and cheap to fix if you get a problem. Engines are usually bullet proof. Slower than the others but a more reliable , cheaper van.
Avoid the vito like the plague. We have had one for 8 months now and it has been a lot of hassle0 -
I do like a Transit but I also like a VW, both nice vans.
VW will cruise at very high speeds.
Be aware that a van is not very aerodynamic, if you drive at more than about 65mph your fuel consumption goes through the roof. At 90+ you will be nearly using twice as much fuel as at 65mph.
Take a small pillow for your back
I'd love to do that route, the scenery will be amazing0 -

:D
Sorry to be a bit of an a*se, it just bugs me to hear of people paying over the odds for 'perceived quality', and generalisations like the above annoy me a bit.
p.s. I know they sell a Transporter that's more powerful than the Tranny, but it's about a million pounds! And that my son, is how to waft a towel!0
