Any one offering 'quotations' and not full searches?

Looking to shuffle some 0% balances to a new card. Will need a minumum 3k credit limit, so don't want to be making multiple applications if limit is below 3k.

Are there any lenders who can offer a quotation before making a full application?

Thanks

By the looks of this one, they won't be the kind of cards offering 0% deals :rotfl:

Some of the quotations are a pile of crap, I don't know why nationwide can't be more honest when they quote you £500 @ 19.9% APR and actually just say "!!!!!! off" which would be a more accurate answer.

Barclays claims to never recognise my address and urges me to go for a full credit search - no thanks, bog off.

the only one which has coincidentally done me proud is the "fluid" mbna card soft search. I did it last year when I was looking to graduate from vanquis, and it said I had a low chance of acceptance with fluid but suggested I apply for the Bank of Scotland card, which I duly did and was accepted for. Then, this year I came back to fluid looking to get the 0% balance transfer to move a balance from said BOS card, the application reckoned I'd be good to go this time and right enough I was accepted.

Of course that's likely down to some luck as well, but the fluid search is the only one I've found yet which is actually up front with you about whether you should bother applying, and doesn't try to pull the wool over your eyes by saying you'll get a crap APR and tuppence worth of a credit limit.

To be fair while it annoys me too that Nationwide do that, I did the same thing (and got the same offer) - they declined me straight away but no search appears to have gone on my credit file. Next day I applied with my bank and got a card straight away. I don't think Nationwide even bothered to search me, just declined me on the basis I didn't have a hope anyway and may have decided it wasn't worth a search.

Don't think so, the soft search gave me a very poor chance of being accepted but hey-ho I went ahead and was accepted with a £2,500 limit.

Nationwide's soft search is either completely misleading, doesn't like me, or they're a very strict lender. I currently hold three credit cards, yet every time I have tried their soft search I get the £500 @ 19.9%... I have no intention of getting a nationwide card I just like to see what their site thinks from time to time... never changes :rotfl:
