Marketing an online business

unfortunately with online business (or any business now) you need to embrace social media. Done properly it can propell you into new realms of business and networking.
Just because you are not on social networks doesnt mean your business isnt being spoken about, and wouldnt you rather be on it ensuring your brand and image is maintained in its truest form that being bad-mouthed and torn to shreds in seconds by someone else?
If you yourself do not like facebook, try getting a friend to run it for you. There is also twitter (great for advertising special offers), Pinterest (ensure all your images, anywhere online have your logo or website address on them), Tumblr etc..
Try and get affiliated with other sites, such as wedding websites and getting a shop on etsy which gets alot of traffic especially for bespoke craft items.
there is also the usual, leaflets, local ads, google ads, street banners, business cards...just keep going and try all different avenues.Total Debt in Feb 2015 - £6,052 | DEBT FREE 26/05/2017Swagbucks £200 Valued Opinions £100Dave Ramsey Baby Step 2 | Mr Money Mustache Addict0 -
Agree with this totally. I wouldn't pay a local seo company £100 per month either as someone else suggested. They will not be able to do anything that you couldn't achieve on your own.
Exactly, there's plenty of free information online about building a website and how to find free marketing tools. A simple search on Google or You Tube with the relevant keyword searches gives you the tools for the job.Lao Tzu - "Give a man a fish and feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime"

I highly recommend adding a blog to your website and regularly writing unique content on it...Google loves websites that update their sites a lot and a blog is a great way of doing this, good for your visitors too and if you write great content people will want to link to it. Each time you do a blog post then post it through your social channels too. You can write about new pieces of jewellery, how its made, special offers etc etc etc.
It is a very competitive area but it is worth getting it SEO optimised...just find a company you can trust! Also take advantage of some of Google's free products, Google webmaster tools, google analytics, google places...Hope that helps!0 -
