Bluetooth Laptop/Mobile problem?

I have been trying to connect my Dell Inspiron laptop to Sony Ericson T610 mobile via Bluetooth. Each unit has recognised the other but the mobile phone is asking for a "Passkey". Looked at help on laptop and it says a "Passkey" is required to connect to internet through a mobile phone but at this stage I am only trying to send information from device to the other, can anyone tell me where I have gone wrong? Thanks

You've done nothing wrong. For Bluetooth devices to work together they have to be paired, and the passkey is needed for initial pairing. Just use any arbitrary number, but make sure you have entered the same one on both devices.

Thanks (again) DVB for sorting another problem, used my year of birth as a Passkey and both devices are connected through Bluetooth.
