Can you post up the PCN showing the pics but make sure you obscure any identifying info first?

Or tell us the location you WERE parked and the location stated on the PCN.

Good Morning Guys,

I received a resposnse from the Council itself.


They have cancelled my PCN in 1 paragraph and in the other they have told me to pay within the stipulated time period.

I am sorry I cannot add an image.

Please advise me how to ???

It was for the same contravention.

In the same letter on 1 paragraph they have cancelled th that PCN and in another paragraph they have charged me again.

No new PCN nothing.

I wish I could upload the letter to make it clear.

I am quoting what the letter states, in 1 paragrapgh it states

" I am writing to inform you that the mitigating circumstance put forward has been accepted as sufficient grounds for the cancellation of the PCN. Therefore, the Notice has now been closed and there is no outstanding balance."


After a couple of the paragraphs.

"This letter is issued as a formal Notice of Rejection of your representations.

As you wrote to us during the period when you could have paid the penalty charge at the reduced rate, we have decided to offer you a further 21 days from the date of this letter in which to pay the reduced amount of 55.00. After this, if unpaid the notice will increase to the full amount of £110.00."

Also they have attached a form of appeal alongwith the letter.

Please advise.

I'd ring them and ask them what they mean. The first part clearly cancels the PCN. Did you get more than one ?

Nope I just got one PCN.

The problem is that they do not have a contact number, only via email or post.

Hence I have emailed them.

Or should I Appeal it ?????

It's obviously a mistake. I'm sure if you google them, you will find a number for parking services. Otherwise ask them to clarify the letter. They cannot re-issue a PCN to correct a wrong location.
