Afternoon everyone,
Julie I think that you are being very sensible, we have done that with OH's family for years. My side of the family is really small so it is not a problem.
Judi Hope that you feel better soon.
Molly Hugs.
Halight Best of luck at the hospital.
LW That is a lot of doggy visitors you have booked in.
Hester Hold on there, only 4 weeks till the end of term!
It is so hot and muggy here today, the pupils have been saying it is too hot to work since quarter to nine!
We had a staff meeting at work yesterday and the headmaster announced that he had got so tired of waiting for Ofsted that he had written and invited them to come in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just what we need.
Tea tonight is going to have to be vegetarian as I have forgotten to get the mince out of the freezer.
Enjoy the rest of your day folks.:)0 -
Thank you for the replies, you have made me feel its the right thing to do.
Everyone seems to be. Fine with it. My SIL said she. Is so pleased she has wanted to say something for years but not been brave enough so I'm glad I've done it now.:D
butterfly I've also cleaned my washing machine out, the drawer was a disgrace. It's one of those things I forget to do.
Hoping Halight is getting positive news xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

We do the similar on my side of the family. It's £10 cash or voucher to the neices and nephews and nothing to my siblings.
On my husbands side we do exchange gifts but everyone has a list and one of his sisters coordinates. You can put anything you want on the list and you'll either receive smaller items from everyone or people will club together for a larger item. There's no price limit but people spend what they can afford.0 -
Julie we did this years ago and it has been a godsend finances wise. We only buy for under 16's now apart from the big birthdays such as 18th and 21st and we only do Christmas presents for the outlaws.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Afternoon all,
Hope all went well Halight.
Feeling rougher than I have at any point recently today - I hate having knackered sinuses! Wanted to get to the gym twice this week but it won't be happening today; my nose looks like I've dipped it in red paint, my eyes are all swollen and I'm struggling to breathe properly. Bah
Will mosey home to make myself my dinner (LO spag bol from freezer with fresh pasta and a slice of garlic bread (also from the freezer).
Last night I spent some time making myself a decent lunch up for work today and not only did I enjoy it has also shown me how much of a treat lunch can feel like! I usually just grab a packet of 11p noodles and a couple of pieces of fruit at my desk!
Definitely going to be doing it this way again, I had: roasted veg cous cous (from a free packet I got a while ago) with cucumber and cherry tomato chunks plus a few little bits of cheese. Followed by some easi-yo yogurt I made up last night in to which I stirred a few mini marshmallows. Delicious! Will be doing something similar for tomorrow
Good wishes to all, will try and catch up again later!************************************
