Vinci parking notice

I've recently had a parking notice on my car but did have a valid parking ticket at the time, I scanned this and sent to Vinci parking but they sent me a photo of my car saying it wasn't properly displayed , it was one of those non adhesive type and it just slipped slightly down the dashboard, this must have happened when I closed the door.

This company is upholding the initial parking ticket but I'm not backing down, this is how they prey on people who just pay the ticket without challenging the unfair parking notice.

This private company has attached a POPLA (parking on private land appeal service ) for me to fill in If I'm dissatisfied with their decision, which I clearly am, has anyone got any advice please

I'm going to see my local citizens advise bureau in the next couple of days as well.

I think Vinci have never issued a court claim ever. Would anyone like to prove me wrong?

Look at the POPLA decisions sticky at top of this forum. You will see the winning appeal points to include in yours.

From a POPLA point of view, you are. 'Guilty of the offence' so you need to challenge the legitimacy of the PPC to charge you anything.

I am willing to bet your visit to CAB will be a waste of time, they will only quote the BPA propaganda, and not actually help you at all!

I agree, we can almost guarantee that CAB will be USELESS - they don't even know their own guidelines usually!

This (linky) is what the adviser should say but it will be interesting to see if they do tell you that you can 'pay, challenge or ignore' (as per the linked advice guide). I would take it along and if the adviser starts banging on about it being a 'fine under contract law' and scaring you that it's serious and suggesting that you should send a rubbish POPLA appeal begging letter re 'mitigating circumstances', give them the advice guide and walk out!

There are several example POPLA appeals on this forum linked on threads, and also on pepipoo forum. As I am at work I can't link any now but search for keywords 'POPLA creditor Cutts' or 'POPLA GS4' (an odd typo on a thread I remember has a POPLA appeal on it!) might show you some where the Martin Cutts case was quoted.

Start looking and show us your draft, it should be long and strongly worded with court claim cases mentioned where the PPC lost, which you will find on some POPLA appeals used already.

What's the betting they will be a no-show again?!
