PPI Claim - Egg Consolidation Loan

Help! I've been reading lots of stuff about PPI claims for consoldiation loans but I'm confused.....

I've recently been sent a letter from Egg about the PPI I had with one of their loans. They've sent me a form to return if I feel that I was mis-sold PPI. I feel I have a claim but I'm not sure where I stand, I want to make sure I get back what I'm entitled to.

I actually had two loans with them. I took out a loan for £8000 in 2005 which included PPI, I then got a 'Top Up' loan for £11250 about 6 months later which had a new PPI policy. I cancelled this insurance after a few months as I was struggling with the payments.

I've only been sent a letter in reference to the original £8000 loan, but I was wondering if someone could please tell me where I stand with my claim. Does it make a difference that it was a consolidation loan? Can I claim on the second loan PPI even though I cancelled it?

Also, does it make a difference that the original loan (£8000) was consolidation for other loans that also had PPI?

Hope someone can help!

Make it clear on the form that the letter they sent regarding this loan, was a consolidation of others and ask them to look at all loans associated with this one, they should look at them all anyway but it won't hurt to let them know.

The PPI that you cancelled would still have been on the loan to term end with interest, they may have given a rebate on this, but they might not have.
