Agreed, but the size of tank becomes relevant when people start saying "I get x miles from a tank" or "it costs £y to fill my tank" as some were near the start of the thread.
Without knowing how big the tank is, (say) "250 miles per tank" might be 50 mpg with a very small tank, or it might be 15 with a very big one!0 -

Normally she's very bright and holds down a responsible job running multi-million pound projects, so this purchase came as a shock.
She wasnt impressed when I said I could run a sportscar for what she had paid out extra to save a few mpg.0 -

Although I went for an Astra 1.8vvt 140bhp in the end as I've always preferred the shape and managed to get a brand new one for the price of a used Focus Zetec.
What type of driving (city/motorway) do you do and how many miles a year?
i will probably do about 5800- 7200 miles a year and that will just be on the motorways, and im sure an extra 200 or so will probably just be me driving about, doing errands etc. i thought about going for the astra 1.8 but ive heard that in a choice between that and the focus then the focus takes it0
