    They said the valve was stuck on hot.

    They have a solenoid in them, common problem but a straight forward fix.

    Thermostat housing was what was wrong... ok

    Have you checked your coolant level? I had a leak and the first sign was the heater blasting away because the heating matrix was pumping out hot air where what little coolant was left was boiling....

    It was the heater control valve not the thermostat, Op has already had it sorted.

    Cool, I just had a very similar problem on the same car but it was a coolant leak

    some have cables that move the flap some have this cable/ rod cross breed that looks like a rod but has the flexibility of a cable. a roble or caod?
