insurance claim onryanair flights

we booked an holiday a few months ago, all parts booked separately
but now due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot go,

i cannot find anything about how to cancel the flights, and I'm assuming they're none refundable anyway,
but my insurance says they will/may need a booking receipt and cancellation notice, and its too late to get any sort of refund on the hotel too.
how do i go about this, as a simple no-show won't have any proof?

    What are the unforeseen circumstances?

    If it is medical or perhaps a family bereavement then you should be able to claim on insurance but if it is just a change of mind you won't.

    my father, his illness started 2 weeks ago, was delaying hoping he'd get better, but it's developed into serious illness

    IMO and I am not a lawyer your insurance should cover you.

    my insurers have said it "should" be covered as long as all the relevant paperwork requested is there,
    and maybe even the train and airport hotel and this is for the day before our policy starts, which we booked after deciding it better than driving early doors on the day, doubt i'll get that back though got told to add it to the claim anyway

    i now need to call ryanair and buy a "no show" letter off them
    does anyone know a cheaper telephone number as I've read some people can be on quite a while,
    and should i call before the flight is due to explain or just simply not turn up,
    also should i wait until after the return date or will it automatically flag up both flights after missing the 1st

    I don't see how they can provide a no show letter in advance.
