Also known as Romanet Wines.
Bought a rather expensive (for us) case of wine from them in January for a wedding anniversary gift whilst visiting the boat show in London. Had a nice tasting and chose a dozen bottles.
Apart from the fact that they took over a month to deliver the case, what we actually got bore no relation in taste to what we had at the show although it was drinkable - nothing better than supermarket though.
We chose not to complain and drank the lot and forgot about it - the sales man was adamant we would get a call about once a quarter but all we had to do was say no and they wouldn't bother us again - decent chaps and we foolishly believed them.
Now being plagued with sales calls on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. We have been polite, have been rude, have blocked calls (CPR call blocker) and still they continue. Bleeding heart stories about raising funds for a charity coach etc, trying to emotionally blackmail us into buying again.
The next time, I will leave my lady tendancies at the door and just tell them to foxtrot oscar!
You have been warned.

Did you actually tell them the reason you are not re-ordering is because the wine was mediocre. Or failing that, tell them you are now teetotal. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

We have been very truthful in our review of the wines to them but it's like we haven't had that conversation - every time they call. Sometimes the same chaps rings two evenings in a row and you'd think we'd never spoken before.
I can only presume they send the rejects to the customers and drink the decent stuff themselves - clearly whilst going through their sales calls for the day
Gonna stick to Blossom Hill from now on.......................0 -
I also have been called many times despite me e mailing and telephoning the company. Dont buy wine from them. I am having to take legal action to stop them calling me.0

How are they by-passing the CPR blocker??"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0
-
Have you actually specifically told them, in no uncertain terms "Please take me off your calling list and do not call again"?0
-
Email them and formally advise them that you withdraw your consent to recieve any more marketing from them, and all post, email and telephone calls must stop immediately.
State that any further calls made to you will be considered harassment and reported as such to the relevant authorities (ICO) and that you will charge them a fee to cover the costs of your time and the report. £5 per call. State that unless you receive a written confirmation of the removal of your details and an agreement to never contact you again, you will consider the terms of the agreement to pay for your time accepted by them.
If they call, thank them for their business and send them a bill. And report them. Shouldn't take more than two calls, and you might even get the money. Some days, it's just not worth chewing through the leather straps....
