Ecommerce solution for multiple sites

I have an existing merchant account with natwest with a terminal, current model is receive order, make order up, take payment and ship. New model there is no physical product just access to a website, hence I now need instant verification

Is there an ecommerce solution, that could be more like a dept store, with each dept having its own website and domain name that can handle realtime credit card transactions, a freind reccomended Protx, can they handle the multiple domains?

Dunno. Much easier to set up using Paypal.

if you know how to handle cookies, you can have many sites with different domains all using one payment gateway through one domain that can assume the "look" of each of the referring sites.
